With the Smart M-Bus Datamanager, STV Electronic presents a new web-based M-Bus data hub that acquires data from distributed M-Bus meters very efficiently via IP-based level converters and makes it available as needed on the integrated web server on-premises and/or via email sent as a CSV file. The system solution is primarily used to record consumption data as part of ISO 50001-compliant energy management systems as well as for billing consumption recorded using submeters. Other use cases include the visualization of load profiles in real time and cloud-native controls. The optional support of protocols such as OPC-UA or MQTT as well as Rest API interfaces makes the integration of meter data into energy management and control systems particularly convenient.
The Smart M-Bus Data Manager records consumption data at precisely the right time. The time intervals for consumption data collection, the data dispatch dates as well as the assignment and clustering of subbeters can be parameterized via the web GUI. Any electrician can carry out the installation. Integrated into Ethernet network infrastructures, the Smart M-Bus Data Manager is commissioned and parameterized remotely via its embedded web server. The Smart M-Bus Data Manager automatically detects M-Bus meters via the IP-based M-Bus level converter from STV Electronic.
Between 16 and 32,384 M-Bus standard loads can be managed with just a single Smart M-Bus Data Manager installation. The smart IP-based data hub is therefore suitable for use in numerous application scenarios – from small properties to the most complex installations in energy-intensive industries such as steel, aluminum, glass, ceramics, paper and plastics production as well as the chemical and petroleum industries. Large commercial or municipal properties and residential areas as well as hospitals and universities are also potential users of the Smart M-Bus Data Manager.
