P.Touch Pressure Sensor

The new P.Touch pressure sensor from MP-Sensor completes the generation change in fluid sensor technology

The innovative and unique operating concept through a longitudinally installed touch screen and a virtual scroll wheel raises industrial sensors for the first time to a completely new level in terms of simplicity and intuition in operation. The multitude of possibilities that this opens up give a new dimension to the Industry 4.0 claim of modern sensor technology.

On the one hand, the TFT display enables the plain text display of the menu items through 160×80 pixels; cryptic abbreviations, the meaning of which must be searched for in operating instructions, are a thing of the past. Furthermore, if required, a lot of additional information can be displayed on one screen e.g. to see at a glance, in addition to the current pressure value, the set switching point values or the pressure unit. On the other hand, operation via touch screen ensures an intuitive and unrivaled simple operating concept.

The stainless steel housing and the geometrically protected glass display result in a minimalist, aesthetically pleasing and extremely compact & robust design, which also sets new standards in this respect. The absence of mechanical operating elements ensures a high degree of freedom from wear and tear. Only this patent-pending design makes it possible to achieve this compactness in a pressure sensor with display. The longitudinally arranged display and the electrical M12 connection “in line” allow installation in the tightest of spaces. The P.Touch is therefore up to 50% more compact than previous pressure sensor designs, with approximately the same size display.

The pressure sensors of the P.Touch series enable reliable measurement of process pressures in industrial environments. They are ideally suited for almost any application, such as monitoring pressure in hydraulic systems, monitoring coolant supply or process pressure measurement on injection molding machines.
