Connect the strain gauge force sensor, set the sensitivity, done!
With Forcteq® pro you can easily integrate a strain gauge force sensor from Burster, Kistler or Futek into your application. With the sensor you receive a test report with the value of the sensitivity in [µV/V]. First connect the four wires of the strain gauge force sensor to the Signateq® measuring amplifier. The Signateq® is connected to the XENAX® Xvi 75V8S servo controller. In the menu “Load Cell” the value of the sensitivity of the force sensor can be entered. Due to the very good linearity of strain gauge force sensors, you achieve an accuracy of <=0.5% over the entire force range of the sensor. This eliminates the need for additional calibration. To be on the safe side, you can verify the forces with a commercially available scale. The force value is now directly available in the XENAX® servo controller and does not have to be transmitted by external evaluation electronics. This makes the shortest cycle times possible and the external evaluation electronics can be saved.
