Innovative system solution for aligning salmon packaging on a conveyor belt for subsequent shelf-ready packaging for the food trade.
The solution we developed for a company in the fish processing industry is based on AI-supported optical data acquisition to control two robots working in parallel.
The individual process steps run at high speed in a very small space: detecting the packaging position and orientation of the salmon slices, gripping, realigning and transferring them to a gap on the belt.
Camera technology, robot controllers, hardware and in-house software were perfectly synchronized for this. The result: maximum process speed and optimal efficiency.
